Let me be as clear as I can be. If you are serious about developing your personal or company's leadership competencies, you will attend Leading Concepts' next available course. Dean Hohl's immersion leadership skill training is unique, it's challenging, and it's rewarding. But don't expect to take your cell phone, pager, PDA or laptop
- they aren't allowed. For every waking hour of the day, you are focused on the education and practical application of teamwork, leadership and communication. In my due diligence on the course, I've talked to graduates from Fortune 100 companies and professors at top business schools. No matter their background or how long ago they attended, they are as enthusiastic about the training today as when they went through - AND, they are still using the habits they developed at the course. You make the calls. Now, you have No Excuses! - Brace
No Excuse Leadership didn't start out as a leadership book. It has, however, clearly become a military book, a leadership book and a management book. It started as a project to put into writing an evening with a bunch of rangers drinking beer, swapping war stories. There are some unbelievably remarkable and funny events that emerge out of extended and extraordinarily difficult circumstances - while still required to accomplish a mission as a team. As I cataloged the interviews I realized I was capturing a unique piece of military history...but, of course, it wasn't only a military history book. My challenge was to tie the amazing stories together with a common thread. U. S. Army Ranger School is called the best leadership school in the Army. But why? My common thread became the illumination of the reason why. The subjects of this leadership book, through their stories, showed what it takes to lead and succeed under difficult circumstances. I then identified the leadership principles that those lessons highlighted. To complete the project I was able to build a bridge to success in life after the school and in many cases, after the military. For my part I have the scars of civilian entrepreneurship, others are successful in sales, medicine, politics, and education. So, it's a military book, a military history book, a leadership book, and a management book. If you accept the premise that leadership principles are universal, and that leaders are grown, not born, No Excuse Leadership will help guide you through your challenges. |
